Sensual curves of a Tuscan pebble with a drop of water poised on it, DOPPIA displays the minutes through an astonishing set of mirrors. This large half-steel, half-sapphire pebble, each half an exact replica of the other, invokes the transparency of the water sliding across the warm stone under the southern sun of a Mediterranean beach. Totally structure-free, the DOPPIA's unique and original architecture lets the creations inside reveal themselves both in the raw sapphire of the crystal and on the dial.

Building on its 2007 success, the Bertolucci Casual Chic flagship range - DOPPIA - is introducing new models in 2008 where the glance plunges into an aerial tourbillon. Wizardry of transparency with hours gone mad, where Roman and Arabic numerals mingle and interweave through the mirroring elements. The sapphire crystal is adorned with five Roman numerals printed underneath it, inside the crystal itself, whilst the silvered-white or black dials, both with iridescent reflections, have seven silvered Arabic numerals.

The new 2008 models are a tribute to nature and creativity. The DOPPIA Butterfly dial with its iridescent reflections features butterflies in soft, pure colours which reveal the discrete motif, butterflies flying in the heat of a Latin summer. For DOPPIA Bauhinia , the intense, bright colours accurately reflect the passion inspired by Bauhinia flowers: the fuchsia and the red warm the mauve dial, invoking Mediterranean luminosity. Like a talisman on the wrist, DOPPIA Peacock reveals a silvered, golden pink peacock feather, contrasting with the opaline black dial, mysterious lucky charm of a magical elsewhere.
